Mark (Mordechai, son of Moshe and Faiga) Mintz passed away in 1936 in Hoopstad in the Free State. He was listed as a Garage Proprietor. He was born in England (in another document it says Russia) in 1871 and married in 1916 to Anne (Hannah) Greenberg. At the time of their marriage, he was living near Potchefstroom and he also had property in Krugersdorp. Hannah (Bat Moshe) lived in Bloehmof after his death and passed away in Kimberley in 1942, where she was buried. The couple had a daughter Sophia Faige (Sophy), who settled in Kimberley. She married Joe Nathan Kavin (then living in Potchefstroom) in 1943. It was Kavin's second marriage. His first wife was Leah Appel. Kavin was the son of Meyer and Lena (nee Krawith) Kavin. Until 1943, Sophia Faiga ran and owned General Garage.
