Bloemhof's Jewish Families 

Based on SA Friends of Beit Hatfutsot research, who list 162 families and individuals, the community included over 200 Jews who spent some amount of time in Bloemhof. From my research of digitized Government Gazettes (Gazettes for Africa) and Family Search I have found another 53 names/ surnames. Some were siblings and family - children who made their homes in the region. I included Wolmaransstad, Leeudoringstad and Schweitzer Reinke. Nearby Makwassie also had a sizeable Jewish community. Only 30 kilometers separates Leeudoringstad and Wolmaransstad. From Bloemhof to Wolmaransstad it is only 58 kilometers. Schweizer Reineke is a similar distance from Bloemhof. Many of these families moved to many such small platteland towns and moved with great frequency:
