Friedman, Sam-Tilly, Lolly-Leah
Sam and Isaac Friedman were the brothers of Lea (Lieberthal) and Ester (Silbert). Thier parents were Lewin (born 1854) and Helene (born 1863). Helene was a Lieberthal from Talsen and she passed away in 1904 in Aberdeen after the birth of Ester. The Friedman family were also from Talsen. Sam and Lolly were also in partnership with Simon Lieberthal in the Double Crown Yeast Factory.
Sam Friedman married Cecilia Shenker from Cape Town in 1930. She was the daughter of Souel Tewje (ben Yitzhak) and Leie (bas Eliezer) and her family were originally from Lithuania. In 1948 Sam and Tilly retired to Cape Town. They never had children.

Isaac (Lolly) Friedman married Leah Toube, born Blumberg and the daughter of Moses Blumberg and Betty (Neha Basssia) Immerman. The Blumberg family were also from Talsen. Lea was at first married to a Toube and remarried after being widowed. They also never had children and also retired to Cape Town.
